Creatine monohydrate at a glance:
Creatine Monohydrate Powder by Mammut Nutrition contains, as the name suggests, high-quality creatine monohydrate. Creatine is an endogenous substance, the consumption of which increases the physical performance during high-speed strength training in the context of short-term, intense physical activity e.g. increased in speed strength training. The intake of creatine is therefore widespread in competitive sports. It is made from three amino acids in the liver. One of these, methionine, cannot be produced by the body. It must be ingested with food.
In addition to the body's own production, the body obtains part of the creatine from food, where it occurs particularly in red meat. After ingestion, about two thirds of the creatine is converted to creatine phosphate (CP) and stored in the muscle. CP increases the level of adenosine triphosphate (ATP), which is the fuel for our muscles. The higher the ATP level in the muscle, the longer a performance in the maximum range can be maintained. ATP is quickly consumed by splitting, but in the recovery phase it is restored within a very short time (several seconds to a few minutes) in conjunction with CP.
Creatine is stored very quickly in the muscle cells, but it is also removed again very quickly. Studies show that taking 3 g of creatine daily results in a constant amount of creatine in the muscles. A cure application is possible, but a rather outdated model of creatine supplementation. In order to maintain and build muscle, the diet should ideally be rich in protein and carbohydrates.
With an increased creatine intake, it is also very important to drink enough fluids. Minerals are also lost during exercise. To e.g. To prevent muscle cramps, Mammut Creatine Monohydrate Powder is also enriched with magnesium. Magnesium contributes to the electrolyte balance and normal muscle function.
Take 6 g (= 1 level measuring spoon) of Mammut Creatine Monohydrate Powder daily with water or fruit juice. The positive effects of creatine are achieved with a daily intake of 3 g. Creatine is only intended for adults who are involved in intense physical activity. Supplementing the diet alone is not enough; highly intensive training units must also be completed in order to be able to optimally utilize the properties of creatine.
